What is a JoyShop?
JoyShop – (n) ‘joi-shap’: a place to build, to fix, to take apart and start over.
All of us reach points in our journey with God where we realize that we need to fix some things in our life. Sometimes it’s as simple as learning new techniques that will help us in building a relationship with God. Or maybe we have believed some lies and we need to tear them down, and start building our life on truth. Either way we can all use encouragement along the way. When those who had attended a JoyShop were asked to describe it in one word, they responded:
SIMPLE, POWERFUL, MOTIVATIONAL, SPIRIT-FILLED
The JoyShop consists of three parts:
Key Principles that will help you better understand what it means to SEEK God.
Steps that will help you to remain CONSISTENT in a daily quiet time.
The Natural Consequences of seeking God FIRST every day.
The JoyShop will equip you with SIMPLE tools and a PRACTICAL plan to put in to action right away. You will leave energized and excited to begin your new life of seeking intimacy with Jesus every day through spending time alone with Him every morning.
A typical JoyShop requires 5 hours.
Where does JoyShop Ministries go?
Preferably anywhere there are teens and young adults! We have held JoyShop’s in the following settings:
Churches, youth groups and conferences, Christian colleges and high schools, Public high schools, when sponsored by a Christian club, retreat settings, Spiritual Life Week on school campuses, prisons, and anywhere else that people are desirous of a deeper relationship with God.
